Description	:	Francis (Fritz) Leo Kamler, son of William Carl and Rose C. (Schroller) Kamler was born on August 4, 1934, on the farm near Shickley. He passed away at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva on Nov. 18, 2006, at the age of 72 years. Fritz was baptized at St. Mary's Catholic Church near Shickley. (Schroller) Kamler was born on August 4, 1934, on the farm near Shickley. He passed away at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva on Nov. 18, 2006, at the age of 72 years. Fritz was baptized at St. Mary's Catholic Church near Shickley. He was a member of St. Mary's until the family moved to town in 1952. He then joined the St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He took great pride in joining the Knights of Columbus with his brother, Robert as a First Degree Knight. With his disability, he couldn't help out much on the farm. But with his Little Red Wagon, he could keep up with his nephews and nieces, running around the farm chasing the chickens and shooting the birds. He also could beat them in a good game of pool, or putting puzzles together. He and Robert loved watching the cattle sales of RFD TV and watching the Big Red Football games. Fritz always knew when the Nebraska games were on TV. He also took great pride in helping his brother do his lawn mowing service. He enjoyed getting out of the house with Robert, whether it was mowing or going out to eat. They would visit with everyone. He loved his many new friends he made at his new home at the Exeter Care Center. He was so looking forward to the new soft-service ice cream machine, so he could eat his ice cream any time he wanted. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Junior and Robert Kamler; brothers-in-law Joe Woods and Ray Karl; and nephew Joey Woods. He is survived by his sister, Helen Karl of Gresham, Ore.; nephews William Woods and wife Lorene and Stanley Woods and wife Beverly all of Raymond, Wash., James Kamler and wife Sussy of Geneva, Richard Kamler and wife Sue of Lemoyne, Tom Kamler and wife Shirley of Ohiowa, and Mike Kamler and wife Kim of Shickley; nieces Susan Engle and husband, George of Geneva, and Bonnie Zelenka and husband Ronald of Fairmont. Also surviving are many great-nephews and great-nieces. Funeral services were conducted from the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Geneva on Tuesday, Nov. 21, with Father Thomas McGuire officiating. Mary Ann Najmon accompanied the congregation who sang, "Here I Am Lord," "Amazing Grace," "Lord I Am Not Worthy" and "How Great Thou Art." Casket bearers were Richard Kamler, Mike Kamler, Jim Kamler, Tom Kamler, William Woods, Stanley Woods, George Engle and Ron Zelenka. Interment was in the St. Joseph's Cemetery.
