Description	:	Robert E. Kamler, son of William Carl and Rose C. (Schroller) Kamler, was born on July 24, 1932 on the farm near Shickley. He passed away at the Exeter Care Center on June 1, 2006, at the age of 73 years, 10 months and seven days. He was one of four children in the family. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary's Catholic Church near Shickley. He was an active member at St. Mary's until the family moved to town in 1952. He then joined St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He took great pride in joining the Knight's... Read More	Robert E. Kamler, son of William Carl and Rose C. (Schroller) Kamler, was born on July 24, 1932 on the farm near Shickley. He passed away at the Exeter Care Center on June 1, 2006, at the age of 73 years, 10 months and seven days. He was one of four children in the family. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary's Catholic Church near Shickley. He was an active member at St. Mary's until the family moved to town in 1952. He then joined St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He took great pride in joining the Knight's of Columbus. He was a third and fourth degree and he beamed with pride when he was in his uniform. He was very proud to be the Top Salesman for the Tootsie Roll sales. He helped his father on the farm until they moved to Geneva, then worked at the Sale Barn, also working at the elevator in gown and the car dealerships in Geneva. In later years, his pride was his lawn mowers and the lawn service he provided to citizens of Geneva. His brother, Fritz, would help him mow yards and clean up leaves. Bob and Fritz went everywhere together, and Bob did an excellent job taking care of his brother. In later years, he had Susan, Bonnie, Kim and Mike to help him out. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Jr. Kamler; one brother-in-law, Joe Woods and one nephew, Joey Woods. He is survived by his close brother, Francis (Fritz) of Geneva, sister Helen Karl and husband Ray of Gresham, Ore.; nephews, William Woods and wife, Lorene of Vancouver, Wash., Stanley Woods and wife Beverly of Raymond, Wash., James Kamler and wife Sussy of Geneva, Richard Kamler and wife , Sue of Lemoyne, Tom Kamler and wife, Shirley of Ohiowa, Mike Kamler and wife, Kim of Shickley; nieces Susan Engle and husband, George of Geneva, Bonnie Zelenka and husband, Ronald of Fairmont. Also surviving are many great-nephews and great-nieces. Funeral services were conducted on Monday, June 5, from the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Geneva with Father Thomas McGuire officiating. Mary Ann Najmon accompanied the congregation who sang, "Here I Am Lord," "Amazing Grace,", "Lord I am not Worthy" and "How Great Thou Art." Casket bearers were William Woods, Stanley Woods, Jim Kamler, Richard Kamler, Tom Kamler and Mike Kamler. Honorary bearers were his brothers of the Knights of Columbus.
