Description	:	CLAY CENTER --- Frank Dexter Oberg, 87, Clay Center, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, at a Clay Center retirement home. He was born Sept. 23, 1915, in Clay Center, to Frank O. and Geneva Swenson Oberg. He graduated from The University of Kansas in Lawrence in 1937 and the Washburn University School of Law in Topeka in 1940. He practiced law in Clay Center from 1940 to 1942 and then became a special agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He returned to Clay Center in 1945. Read More	CLAY CENTER --- Frank Dexter Oberg, 87, Clay Center, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, at a Clay Center retirement home. He was born Sept. 23, 1915, in Clay Center, to Frank O. and Geneva Swenson Oberg. He graduated from The University of Kansas in Lawrence in 1937 and the Washburn University School of Law in Topeka in 1940. He practiced law in Clay Center from 1940 to 1942 and then became a special agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He returned to Clay Center in 1945. He was Clay County attorney from 1951 to 1954. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Clay Center and the board of directors of Union State Bank in Clay Center. He was a past president of the Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce and Country Club, all in Clay Center. He was a former member of the board of directors of Clay County Hospital and Sunset Home in Concordia. He married Ruth Esther Purdy on Aug. 23, 1938. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Jane Deyoe, Boulder, Colo., and Nancy Schottelkotte, Montrose, Colo.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Clay Center. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center.
