He lived in the community west of Seneca many years. He was a farmer many years before he retired in 1941. He was a member of the board of directors of Citizens State Bank at Seneca until 1972. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church at St. Benedict and was a member of the altar society... Read More	Frank H. Holthaus, 97, Seneca, died Sunday, February 11, 1973. He had been ill about three years. He was born June 14, 1875, at Muhlen, Germany, and lived in the U.S. about 82 years. He lived in the community west of Seneca many years. He was a farmer many years before he retired in 1941. He was a member of the board of directors of Citizens State Bank at Seneca until 1972. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church at St. Benedict and was a member of the altar society at the church. He married Josephine Rethman. She died Feb. 2, 1967. Survivors include seven sons, Joseph, of Yakima, Wash., Cornelius and Gregory, both of Axtell, Lawrence, Ben and Cyril, all of Seneca, and Adolph, Baileyville; two daughters: Mrs. Agnes Rottinghaus and Mrs. Clementine Bennett, both of Seneca; a brother, Francis, Baileyville; 42 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren and 7 great-greatgrandchildren.
