Frank Waterbury Was Resident Of Community All Of His Life Frank Wnterbury, well known Akron resident, passed away at his home here Wednesday forenoon, August 27, 1941, following a two months' illness of heart trouble. He had been a resident of this vicinity all of his life nnd was a member of the Fraternel Order of Eagles. Frank L. Waterbury, youngest son of Henry and Jennie Wuterbury, was born in Union county, S. D., August 29, 1891. In 1892 he moved to Akron with his parents. He attended the Akron public schools, later entering the bartering business, which he followed until the time of his death. In 1909 he was united in marriage with Miss Catherine Burke. To this union three children were born, Myron, Arnold and Robert, Robert having preceded his father in death in January, 1927. He moved to Westfield in 1911, estab-lishing a barber shop, which he operated for twenty-three years. Coming to Akron in 1934, he purchased a shop, which he operated until the time of his death. He was always a kind, loving and devoted husband and father and a loyal, helpful friend. Industrious, steady-going and upright, and honorable in all dealings with his fellow man, he was held in high esteem by all who knew him, and his genial presence will be sincerely missed. A host of friends imite in sympathy to those who survive him. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Harry Waterbury, and son, Robert. He is survived by his wife, Catherine;, two sons, Myron and Arnold; one sister, Mrs. Alanson Baker, all of Akron; also a devoted niece, Edith Catherine Bergum and a host of friends and reltatives and friends. As a final tribute, all Akron business houses closed during the funeral services, which were held last Friday at 9 a. m., in, St. Patrick's Catholic church, Rev. Fr. Chas. Ernst officiating. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery here. Pallbearers were Lowell L. Burrill, John F. Stecker, August Lundgren, Martin Hendricks, Wilson Geary and Frank Montagne. Out of town friends and relatives attending the funeral rites were: Stephen Burke, of Dell Rapids, S. D.; Mrs. Roslyn Cheney, of Onawa, Iowa; William Hoschler and son, of Waterloo, Iowa; Robert McConville and family, Mrs. Max Schnider, Mrs. Albert Green, Mrs. George Warren and son, Mr. and Mrs. Charley Brown, Art McGomdlle and Irving Casey; all of Sioux City; Mr. and Mrs. Russell Hawks, of Vermillion, S. D.; Clifford Warren, of Illinois; Bob Williams and Ruth Puglisha, of LeMars; Mr. and Mrs. Barter and daughter, of Elk Point; Mr. and Mrs. Art Berge, of Webb, Iowa.
