Read More	The Edgar Sun (Edgar, NE), Friday, June 23, 1923; pg. 1 Pretty Home Wedding Thursday of Last Week Mr. Frank Hoins and Miss Myrtle Aileen Avers were united in marriage on Thursday, June 14, at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Avers, by Rev. Russell of Superior. Miss Lois Avers, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid and Mr. Daniel Hoins, brother of the groom, was best man. Preceding the ceremony, "I Love You Truly" was sung by Miss Myrtle Sugden. Miss Lela Hungerford played the wedding march. Little Helen Snyder carried the ring in the heart of a rose. The bride was gowned in white silk with over-lace. The decorations were pink and white and the color scheme was worked out in an arch of crepe paper and roses under which the vows were spoken. All the arrangements were in good taste and very pretty. After congratulations a delicious luncheon of strawberry ice cream and white cake was served by Mr. and Mrs. Lem Shipley, Bessie Avers and Margery Newhouse. Mr. and Mrs. Hoins have moved to a farm near Abdal. The best wishes of many friends go with them. ========================== The Superior Express (Superior, NE), Thursday, date unknown Frank Hoins, 71, of Fairfield died Saturday at the Nuckolls County Hospital. Mr. Hoins was a native of Oak and was raised in the Bostwick community where he attended school. He farmed in Nuckolls, Loup and Custer counties until 1948 when he moved to Fairfield where he was employed by the Chicago Lumber Company and Morrison-Quirk Grain Corporation until his retirement in 1960. He was married to Myrtle Avers of Edgar on June 14, 1923. Mr. Hoins was a member of he (sic) Community Presbyterian Church and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge No. 128 of Fairfield. Survivors are wife, Myrtle; six daughters, Mrs. Lyle Dilsaver (Ione) of Taylor, Mrs. Rex Shubert, jr., (Elaine) of Fairfield, Mrs. Glen Hatridge (Helen) of Colorado Springs, Mrs. Roger Allbee (Karolyn) of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Mrs. Leslie Hubl (Rosalee) of Omaha, and Mrs. Ralph Savage (Judy) of Wichita; five sons, Robert and Gordon of Fairfield, Marvin of Kansas City, Larry Dean of Iowa Falls, Iowa, and John of Grand Island; four sisters, Mrs. Bessie Tumbleson, Mrs. Bernice Barfknecht and Mrs. Fern Laird of Superior and Mrs. Loren Bailey of Guide Rock; two brothers, Clifford of Davenport and Dan of Guide Rock; 27 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services were held Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 2 p.m., in the City Auditorium in Fairfield with Rev. R. Keith Roumpf officiating. Burial was in Fairfield Cemetery. The McLauglin Funeral Home of Clay Center was in charge of arrangements. ============================= The Edgar Sun (Edgar, NE), Thursday, October 17, 1968; pg. 2 Obituary, Hoins — A service of worship was held in memory of Frank Roy Hoins in the Fairfield Community auditorium on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 2 p.m. Rev. R. Keith Roumph led the worship service. Mrs. Russell Brodrick was the organist and Mrs. Robert Bailey was the soloist. Arrangements for the service were made by the McLaughlin Funeral Home. The interment was in the Fairfield Cemetery. Pallbearers were the five sons and the eldest grandson, Robert Hoins, Jr. Frank Roy Hoins, son of Louis and Lucetta Hoins, was born near Oak, Nebr., Sept. 9, 1897, and departed this life at the Nuckolls county (sic) hospital in Superior on Oct. 12, 1968. He was one of nine children. He grew to manhood in and around Nuckolls county (sic) and was married June 14, 1925 to Myrtle A. Avers. Eleven children were born to this couple. In the fall of 1936 the family moved to Loup county (sic) near Taylor and lived in that vicinity until January 1948 when they moved to Fairfield. The Hoins family farmed throughout their adult lifetime until his retirement. Frank was a proud father and a loving husband. He took great pride in his family and will be remembered by everyone for his honesty and forthrightness. Mr. Hoins was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church and the I.O.O.F. Lodge of Fairfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three infant grandsons. Left to hold sacred his memory are his wife, Myrtle; five sons, Robert and Gordon of Fairfield, Marvin of Kansas City, Mo., Larry Dean of Iowa Falls, Iowa, and John of Grand Island; six daughters, lone Dilsaver of Taylor, Elaine Shubert of Fairfield, Helen Hatridge of Colorado Springs, Colo., Karolyn Albee of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Rosalee Hubl of Omaha and Judith Savage of Wichita, Kan.; two brothers, Dan H. Hoins of Guide Rock and Clifford Hoins of Davenport; and four sisters, Mrs. Bessie Humbleson, Mrs. Fern Laird and Mrs. Bernice Karknecht (sic), all of Superior, and Mrs. Amy Bailey of Guide Rock. He also leaves 27 grandchildren and two great grandchildren plus a host of other friends and relatives too numerous to mention.
