McCauley and Rebecca Corl, was born in Stephenson County near Freeport, Illinois, December 11, 1859 and died at the home of his daughter in Des Moines October 22, 1950 at the age of 90 years, 10 months and 10 days. He came to Iowa with his parents in 1871 settling on a farm just west of Fairmont in Jasper County Iowa where he grew to manhood. McCauley and Rebecca Corl, was born in Stephenson County near Freeport, Illinois, December 11, 1859 and died at the home of his daughter in Des Moines October 22, 1950 at the age of 90 years, 10 months and 10 days. He came to Iowa with his parents in 1871 settling on a farm just west of Fairmont in Jasper County Iowa where he grew to manhood. On October 24, 1883 he was united in marriage to Francis Olevia McCauley and to this union five children, two daughters and three sons; Edith, Lina, Frank Jr., James and Raymond. Two of whom have preceded him in death; Edith and James. Six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and a host of friends besides these are left to mourn his passing. Mr. McCauley spent most of his years living on a farm near Mitchellville and in that city. At one time he was a member of the city council there. After the death of his wife, September 4, 1941, he came to live with his daughter, Mrs. Guy Admas, 841 Euclid where he passed away October 22, 1950. Mr. McCauley was a member of the Methodist church and was always interested in activities. Rev. Crandell preaching his funeral. Internment in the Mitchellville Cemetery.
