Description	:	Franklin P. Wheatley was the youngest child of William W. & Mary Cherry Wheatley. He was married to Margaret A. McNeill 10 Sep 1873, Benton County, Tennessee. He donated the Wheatley Cemetery land to the public 28 Mar 1932. The Camden Chronicle, 10 Mar 1933 issue, "The death of Franklin P. Wheatley which took place at his home in the 7th district terminated an illness of many months. Wheatley was the youngest child of William W. & Mary Cherry Wheatley. He was married to Margaret A. McNeill 10 Sep 1873, Benton County, Tennessee. The deceased served the county as Justice of the Peace for a long number of years and was a familiar figure whenever there was a convening of the quarterly term of court. His early life as an official was contemporary with that of W.A.Steele, J.M. Holladay, John P. Lashlee, Bill Kirk, Don Bruce and others who have crossed over to "rest under the shade of the trees." Surviving him are four children. Mrs. Foust of Henry Co., Jesse Wheatley, Will Wheatley, and Miss Eliza Wheatley. His remains were laid to rest at Sulphur Creek Cemetery."
