Morris (sic. a/k/a Calvin Clark Morris) and Sarah J. Mendenhall Morris. Believed to have been born about 1871, but exact date had not been determined, per Evergreen cemetery transcription research. Per information received on November 25, 2014, via a SAC on this memorial, it now appears that his DOB was on April 11, 1878 in Jefferson county, Iowa, using his WWI Draft Registration information. This memorial is updated accordingly. A brief mention of his death was found by this contributor in the microfilm records at the Fairfield Public Library. It stated that he died in "Kansas City", but didn't specify which state. Although the odds are that he died in Kansas City, Missouri, without additional clarification or documentation it can't be ruled out that he may have died in Kansas City, Kansas. To whom he was married to (at one time), isn't known. According to the death announcement, he was survived by "two daughters", but they were not named. No headstone or inscription is found for Fred Calvin Morris on this Mendenhall/Morris family plot but cemetery records do indicate that he was buried here. ------------------------ Note: update a/o Jan. 16/21, 2019: The following message received about Fred Calvin Morris by another contributor. It is copied here for the interest of other family researchers, the previous section notes notwithstanding - "According to a Daughters of the American Colonists record, Fred Calvin Morris, son of Clark Calvin Morris and Sara Jane Mendenhall, married La Rue Campbell in 1902. They had a daughter named Dorothy Morris b 1903 who married a Leland Warren Browne, and their other daughter is Vivian born 1915. I find Fred and La Rue in the 1910, 1920 census in Marshall, Saline Co., MO and 1930 census in Kansas City, MO. I am not sure what happens to La Rue after 1930. " Perhaps these other family members will be located and linked in due time.
