Description	:	Services will be at 3:30pm Wednesday at First United Methodist Church here for Fred Henderson Reed, 79, Overbrook, who died here Monday night in a rest home where he had been since Monday morning. He had been ill several years and had been a patient in a Topeka hospital several times He was born Nov 26, 1896, at Overbrook, the son of Charles and Barbara Blocher Reed, and spent his life in the Overbrook community. Mr Reed owned and operated the Chevrolet dealership at Overbrook from 1926 to 1942. During WWII, he was a machinist at the Sunflower Ordnance Works at DeSota. He owned andoperated the Allis Chalmers implement dealership at Overbrook several years before he retired. He attended First United Methodist Church at Overbrook and was a member of Ridgeway Lodge No 62, AF & AM, at Overbrook. He was member of Scottish Rite Bodies and Arab Shrine in Topeka. He was a former member of the Rotary Club at Overbrook. He was married to Dorothy English July 17, 1918, in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs Mabel Price, Overbrook, and Mrs Elsie Perryman, 1401 Washburn, Topeka. Ridgeway Lodge No 62, AF & AM, will conduct graveside services at Overbrook cemetery. Mr Reed will lie in state until 11:30 am Wednesday at Greenwood-Roberts Funeral Home at Overbrook and after noon Wednesday at the church.
