Description	:	WINTERPORT - Fred M. Riley, 84, husband of the late Ioma (Lang) Riley, died Feb. 10, 2011, at the Maine Veterans Home, Bangor. He was born Nov. 7, 1926, in Monroe, the son of Frank E. and Mildred (Evans) Riley. He was a graduate of Monroe High School and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army during World War II, stationed in Germany. He was born Nov. 7, 1926, in Monroe, the son of Frank E. and Mildred (Evans) Riley. He was a graduate of Monroe High School and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army during World War II, stationed in Germany. Fred worked as a sheet metal mechanic and went on to own and operate Central City Sheet Metal, along with two other partners, until his retirement in 1982. Fred is survived by two sons, Donald Riley and wife, Nora, of Brewer and Ronald Riley and wife, Victoria, of Corinth; a daughter, Linda and her husband, Mike Riggleman, of Montana; a special friend, Alice Porter of Thorndike; two sisters, Edna Kenny and Eunice Palmer, both of Belfast; a brother, Lewis Riley of Belfast; a sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Dick Nakai of Bangor; three grandchildren, David Riley, Tracy Jordan and Michelle Faull; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and his wife of 47 years, he was predeceased by six brothers and sisters. A graveside service will be held this spring at Pilgrims Home Cemetery, Monroe.
