Read More	Cherokee Courier: April 21, 1960: Page 8 Fred Thomas Corrington, son of Henry Corrington and Anna Frei Corrington, was born on December 14, 1889, in Rock Township, Cherokee County. He grew up in Pilot Township,and there he lived for 60 years. He was united in marriage with Grace Vallie Jimmerson of Storm Lake on June 14, 1917. To this union were born three sons, Vere T., Robert L., and Leo C, all of Cherokee, and one daughter who died in infancy. Mrs. Corrington passed away on February 29, 1944. On November 16, 1947, he was married to Mrs. Ella Orr, and they have made their home at 701 North Roosevelt, since retiring from the farm ten years ago. Mr. Corrington's health began to fail noticeably about two years - ago. He passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday evening, April 5, 1960. In addition to his wife and three sons, he is survived by nine grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. Lee Pennington of Peterson, Mrs. Howard Haight of Alta, Mrs. George Booth of Peterson and Mrs. Gertrude Worley of Sedona, Ariz.; together with a host of friends. Mr. Corrington not only lived his life on the farm, but he loved farm life. The changing seasons with their varied tasks, the mystery of seed time and growth; the joy of harvest; whether in the field or garden were a source of never ending communion and wonder as well as challenge. Funeral services were held April 8, at St. Paul's Methodist Church with Rev. J. E. Feller officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery with Boothby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Organist for the service was Mrs. Ivan Bushlow. Mrs Ben Abels and Hobert Johnson sang as a duet "Beyond the Sunset" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Pallbearers were Ralph Patterson, Roger Parker, Paul Meylor, Harland Stieneke, Robert Hartwig and Robert Bruce
