Life Outlined He was born Feb. 23, 1890, son of Otto and Meta Schelistaedt Otten, Wittmund, Germany. He came to the United States in 1900. He attended Jones county rural schools. He lived in Amber for six years, then operated a Harness shop in Anamosa for 30 years before retiring in 1957. He had lived the last few years in Morley. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran church, Anamosa. Survivors Listed Survivors include two brothers,Henry Otten, Wyoming; and Carl Otten, Anamosa; and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Menno Otten.
