Description	:	Death Comes to Mrs. Fredericka Piel Fredericka Marie Jahn, daughter of Christopher and Marie Jahn, was born in Germany May 13, 1861, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Calvin Morey in Bladen, Nebraska, on January 6, 1949, at the age of 87 years 7 months and 23 days. She was baptized in infancy in the Lutheran church and later became a member of that church. She came to the United States in the year 1867, and lived in Missouri for twelve years, moving in 1879 to Blue Hill, Nebraska. In January of 1881 she was united in marriage... Read More	Death Comes to Mrs. Fredericka Piel Fredericka Marie Jahn, daughter of Christopher and Marie Jahn, was born in Germany May 13, 1861, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Calvin Morey in Bladen, Nebraska, on January 6, 1949, at the age of 87 years 7 months and 23 days. She was baptized in infancy in the Lutheran church and later became a member of that church. She came to the United States in the year 1867, and lived in Missouri for twelve years, moving in 1879 to Blue Hill, Nebraska. In January of 1881 she was united in marriage to Frederick Piel of Blue Hill. To this union eleven children were born, five sons and six daughters. Her husband, three sons, and three daughters preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn, two sons, Frank Piel of Ansley, Nebr., Carl Piel of Waterloo, Iowa; three daughters, Mrs. Robert Cole of Holdrege, Mrs. Calvin Morey and Mrs. Leonard Shaw of Bladen; 34 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren; also two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Millie Robertson and Mrs. Sophia Kaforke of Blue Hill and Henry Jahn of Bladen; also a number of other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Piel were held on Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Methodist Church in Bladen by Rev. Miss Gertrude E. McCallum. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Morey and Mr. and Mrs. James Morey sang accompanied by Miss Marjorie Anderson. The flower girls, all granddaughters of Mrs. Piel, were Nora Alexander, Wilma Shaw, Margaret Shaw and Vivian Mae Barnes. The Pallbearers, grandsons of Mrs. Piel, were Virgil Morey, Leland Shaw, Nezille Piel, Kenneth Piel, August Piel, Robert Piel. Interment was mad in the Blue Hill cemetery.
