The happy couple will make their home in Junction City. ========================== The Belleville Telescope (Belleville, KS), Thursday, May 11, 1967; pg. 11 Mrs. Henry Wittke Mrs. Henry Wittke (Frieda Aenata (sic) Anna Kroeger) was born May 1, 1911 the daughter of John and Sophia Kroeger in Nuckolls County, Neb., and passed away April 23, 1967 in St. Elizabeth's hospital (sic), Lincoln, Neb., at the age of 55 years, 11 months and 23 days. She received her baptism in St. Pauls (sic) Lutheran Church, Byron. July 3, 1934 she was united in marriage to Henry Wittke. To this union were born two sons and two daughters. She was active in various church offices and committees in the ALCW and the Senior choir. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Myron, sister, Mrs. Ralph Coutier. Survivors include her husband of the home; three children, Mrs. Duelley Smith, San Jose, Cal., Mr. and Mrs. Gene Wittke, Byron, Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Meyer, Santa Maria, Cal.; three brothers Ernest, Albert of Byron and Otto of Lincoln; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Rademacher, New Kirk, Okla., Mrs. Fritz Schleuter, Byron, Mrs. Raymond Marquart, Byron; five grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held in St. Pauls (sic) Lutheran Church, Byron on April 28 with Rev. P.W. Pilgrim officiating. Burial was in St. Pauls (sic) Lutheran Cemetery.
