He was born October 2, 1933 at Lawrence, the son of Gaylord Marion Sr. and Lucy Retta Buck Schneck. Gaylord is a 1951 Lawrence High School graduate. He worked as a Printer, Farmer and Machinist from 1952 to 1974. He worked at Kansas Color Press in Lawrence as Pressman for 25 years. Read More	Gaylord Marion Schneck, Jr., 85, of Oskaloosa, died Monday, March 4, 2019 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He was born October 2, 1933 at Lawrence, the son of Gaylord Marion Sr. and Lucy Retta Buck Schneck. Gaylord is a 1951 Lawrence High School graduate. He worked as a Printer, Farmer and Machinist from 1952 to 1974. He worked at Kansas Color Press in Lawrence as Pressman for 25 years. He also worked at Marley Cooling Towers, Olathe, from 1975 to 1988 and also as a Maintenance man for the Gold Course Superintendent's Association. Gaylord was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous of Lawrencec, receiving his 30 year coin. His hobbies included farming, he loved working with his cattle. He married Phoebe Gladys Torneden on August 22, 1954 at Lawrence, she survives of the home. Other survivors include a son, Michael R. (Dee) Schneck, Lawrence, a daughter, Julie M. (Scott) Petesch, Meriden, a brother, Merle Schneck, Bonner Springs, KS, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one on the way. A Memorial Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, March 7 at Barnett Family Funeral Home. Cremation will follow afterwards. Burial will be at Lawrence Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
