Read More	WIEDMAN, GENEVA E. — Mrs. Geneva Heath Wiedman, former Geneva resident, passed away at a Fairbury hospital Friday, January 17, 1958, aged 72 years, 3 months, and 17 days. She had been ill two weeks. Geneva E. Heath, youngest of six children of James H. and Isabel Heath was born October 10, 1885, at Geneva, Neb. She spent her childhood at Geneva, where she was graduated from high school in 1905. After graduation she was employed at the Geneva post office until she and two other Geneva girls went to Montana to homestead. November 12, 1912, at Lewistown, Mont., she was united in marriage to Charles F. Wiedman. To this union were born three children. In 1922 Mrs. Wiedman returned to Nebraska and was employed four years at Mothers’ Jewels home at York. Later she returned to Geneva and was employed at the girls’ training school until 1952, when she retired and moved to Fairbury. She was a lifetime member of the Methodist church and had been a member of Eastern Star, Geneva chapter 180, for 52 years. Her parents, two sisters, Mrs. Henry Muhlenburg and Mrs. Henry Fisher, all of Geneva, and one brother, Dr. G. A. Heath of Fairbury, preceded her in death. Survivors include the children, Mary I. Raney of Fairbury, C. Wayne Wiedman of Omaha, and Norman H. Wiedman of Indianapolis, Ind.; one brother, Ira P. Heath of Geneva, and one sister, Mrs. Ress Phillips of Denver; a sister-in-law, Mrs. G. A. Heath, also of Denver; five grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and other relatives. She was happy in her retirement in a new community and deeply appreciated the kindness of her many new friends in Fairbury. She continued her interest in numerous activities in her home communities. She was a regular attendant at the high school alumni reunions and enjoyed meeting all her former classmates. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a. m. Monday, January 20, at the Fairbury Methodist church with the pastor, Rev. A. W. Johnson officiating. Further services were held at the Kritner-Farmer funeral home in Geneva at 2:30 p. m. with Rev. Alden B. Sears officiating. The Eastern Star memorial service was given at the funeral home. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. (Source: The Nebraska Signal 23 January 1958)
