Heath -- Isabelle Tope was born in Carroll county, Ohio, November 15, 1843, and died at Geneva, Neb., January 5, 1911, aged 67 years, 1 month and 20 days. When about eight years of age she removed with her parents to Jackson county Ohio. In 1866 she was married to James H. Heath of Richmondale, 0., to which union seven children were born, the oldest dying in infancy and the following surviving her: Mrs. Mame Muhlenburg, Mrs. Julia Fisher and Ira P. Heath of Geneva, Neb., Dr. G. A Heath of Fairbury, Neb., Mrs. Essie Phillips of Marcos, Col., and Miss Geneva Heath of Kendall, Mont. In 1884 with her husband and family she came to Nebraska and settled on a farm one-half mile northwest of Geneva, where they continued to reside until 1905, when Mr. Heath, retiring from the farm, established a home in Geneva, where they lived until his death a year ago. Since that time Mrs. Heath has made an extended visit to her old home in Ohio and the balance of the time has been spent with her children near Geneva. Early in girlhood she united with the Methodist church and all her life was a faithful and consistent member of that church. Of a quiet, retiring disposition, Mrs. Heath did not take a large part in her husband's more public affairs, but she presided over their home with a quiet dignity and courtesy that made and retained as friends those who entered its doors. Among the old settlers, especially, she had a large circle of sincere friends. It may be truthfully said of her: She was a kind neighbor, a true friend, a loving mother and a loyal wife. The funeral took place from the Geneva Methodist Episcopal church at 1 p. m. Tuesday and was conducted by Rev. C. L. Myers. ThO interment was in the Geneva cemetery. All of the children were present at the funeral. – Card of Thanks – We desire to thank our friends and neighbors who kindly assisted us during our recent sorrow.
