Description	:	Genevieve G. McGuire, daughter of Dorsey J. and Erma J. (Goodhue) Worden, was born Wednesday, September 12, 1917, at Superior, Nebraska. She passed away September 25, 1983, at Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital in Superior at the age of 66 years and 13 days. Genevieve graduated from Superior High School in 1934 and then attended Christian College in Columbia, Missouri. In October 1940, she was married to Vic Scherzinger at her parent's farm home east of Superior. They lived at Nelson, Nebraska, where they owned and operated The Nelson Gazette. Vic died in April 1963. In January 1964, Genevieve was united in marriage with Wilmer "Jack" McGuire at Butler, Missouri. They continued to make their home in Nelson. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church. Preceding her in death in addition to Vic was her father, Dorsey H. Worden, on December 12, 1950. Survivors include her husband, Jack of Nelson; her mother, Mrs. Erma J. Headrick of Superior, her brother and his wife, Louis and Cecilia Worden of Superior; and three nieces and one nephew. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, from the Williams Funeral Home in Superior, with the Rev. John P. Besore III officiating.
