Description	:	GEO. E. LAWSON DIED SUNDAY Mr. George Edward Lawson, prominent Crisfield resident, died in the McCready memorial Hospital on Sunday, following a heart attack. He was 41 years of age. He was the son of Mrs. Anna Lawson and the late Lester Lawson, and the husband of Mrs. Marie Lawson. Mr. Lawson was employed by the Citizens Gas Company in Salisbury. LAWSON DIED SUNDAY Mr. George Edward Lawson, prominent Crisfield resident, died in the McCready memorial Hospital on Sunday, following a heart attack. He was 41 years of age. He was the son of Mrs. Anna Lawson and the late Lester Lawson, and the husband of Mrs. Marie Lawson. Mr. Lawson was employed by the Citizens Gas Company in Salisbury. He was a graduate of Rutgers University, Newark, N.J., having a B.S. degree, and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Stanley Cochrane Post of the American Legion here and a member of Asbury Methodist Church. Mr. Lawson was a genial, courteous man, highly intelligent, and he enjoyed the respect and affection of a large circle of friends. He was good company, went out of his way to be helpful, and everyone who knew him liked him for his splendid qualities. His death at such an early age was a shock to relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in Asbury Methodist Church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Walter Beckwith. Burial was in the Church Cemetery. Bearers were Leo Lawson, Leonard Howard, Ray Suarez, Benson Hall, Henry Tyler and Harold Cullen. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Marie Lawson, his mother, Mrs. Anna Lawson, two daughters, Miss Laurie Lee Lawson and Miss Lisa, Lee Lawson, all of Crisfield; and two sisters, Mrs. William Rogers of Baltimore and Mrs. Iva Jean Tawes of Crisfield.
