Mr. Patterson's entire life had been spent in the vicinity of Bloomfield. He was a farmer and accumulated a considerable fortune through his industriousness and splendid business ability. In his death the community looses one of its most substantial and valued citizens. For years he had been a member of the Presbyterian church and was one of the largest contributors to its support. He leaves his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Bene Allison, of near Glenmont and Mrs. John Hudson, of Big Prairie. He was one of twelve children, seven of whom are still living. They are: A. W. Patterson, of Bloomfield; Benjamin Patterson, of Coshocton; William B. Patterson, of Spokane, Wash.; Mrs. J. C. Merrell, of Coshocton; Mrs. L. D. Lowe, of Bloomfield; Mrs. Phillip Hecker, of near Bloomfield; and Mrs. J. C. Stillenbauer, of near Keene. No funeral arrangements had been made by late Saturday night. Mr. Patterson was president of the Patterson family organization and for many years their annual reunions have been held at his farm.
