Read More	GEORGE KAPFER CALLED BY DEATH Well Known Resident Of Union County Dies After Brief Illness Sunday George Kapfer, 75, of Elk Point, S.D., a longtime resident of Union county, S.D., passed away in a Sioux City hospital Sunday night, after a short illness. Mr. Kapfer was born November 9, 1870, at Nebraska Springs, Kansas. He came to Union county with his parents when he was a year old. Mr. Kapfer married Selma Blomdin at Elk Point in 1900. She preceded him in death in 1910, and he has since made his home with his sister, Mrs. Dan Ryan, in Elk Point. Surviving him are a son, John, of Havre, Mont.; four sisters, Mrs. Dan Ryan and Mrs. Pat Curry, of Elk Point; Mrs. Ben Bates, of Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Wm. Manning, of Akron, Iowa, and a brother, William Kapfer, of Akron. Widely known in Union county, Mr. Kapfer held the high esteem of many friends, who extend sympathy to the bereaved relatives. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:00 p. m. in the Dan Ryan home at Elk Point and interment was in the Elk Point cemetery.
