Mr. Cole was born in Adjala Township, the son of John Cole and Jane Proctor. He married Myrtle Baxter in Adjala Township on February 6, 1918 and the couple resided in Mono Township. He farmed on lot 19, west half of Con. 7, in Mono Township and was retired 14 years at the time of his death. Mr. Cole was a member of St. James Anglican Church in Hockley. Surviving members of his family are wife, Mrs. Myrtle Cole of Hockley; one son Errol Cole of Orangeville; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Williams, of Islington and one brother Milford Cole of Toronto. Mr. Cole had six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was predeceased by five brothers, Emerson, Robert, Lawrence, Vincent and Angus. Three sisters, Sadie (Mrs. Jack Fish), Annie (Mrs. John Sirr) and Janie (Mrs. Joe Robbins). Funeral services were held at Turner Funeral Home on April 29 with Rev. W. Cooper officiating. Interment was at St. John's Cemetery, Mono. Pallbearers were Ernie Cole, grandson; Jim Cole, grandson; Eric Williams, grandson; Ronald Williams, grandson; Gary Rawn, grandson and Joseph Robbins, nephew. Flower bearers were Keith Cole, Ron Coles, Russel Sirr, Robert Baxter, Edward Hodson and Norris Coles, all nephews and Leonard Patterson, friend.
