Read More	Glasco Sun, June 9, 1927, page 1: George Marion McBane was born at Greenville, Shelby county, Ind., January 9, 1856 and departed this life at the home of his son Perry at Glasco, Kansas, June 3, 1927 at the age of 71 years, 5 months and 24 days. His early life was spent in the vicinity of Greenville. He was married to Mary Bell Coppel February 3, 1881. To this union was born ten children, three of which died in infancy. His wife Mary Bell preceded him in death five years ago last April. His immediate family that survive are five sons, Pearly and Richard of Miltonvale, Albert of Wichita, Perry and Frank of Glasco. Also two daughters, Mrs. Hallie Kappel of Glasco and Mrs. Nellie Gesecke of Delphos. One sister, Mrs. Julia Bass, of Erie, Kansas, one brother, Levi of Texas. Twelve grandchildren survive besides many other relatives and friends. He moved with his family from Indiana to near Miltonvale in the year of 1896 where he resided until the death of his wife. Since then he has made his home with his children at Glasco. Early in life he gave his heart to his Master and affiliated himself with the Christian Church. He passed away peacefully, glad in the thought that he would soon be at rest with Jesus. Funeral services were held at the Christian Church Sunday afternoon under the direction of Rev. Kaiser of Beloit. Interment was in the Glasco Cemetery.
