Madison George Neal, 70, died Tuesday night at 9:15 o'clock at his home, 305 W. Madison (sic. in Fairfield, Iowa). He had been critically ill for three days, and in failing health for two years. The body has been taken to the Hoskins funeral home. Mr. Neal was born June 26, 1867 at Pleasant Plain. He came to Fairfield twelve years ago, and served three years as county supervisor. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. Mr. Neal is survived by his wife, Bessie Kyle Neal; three daughters, Mrs. Charles Berg of Fairfield, Mrs. Lloyd Bekel of Brighton, and Mrs. Curtis Reynolds of Fairfield; eight grandchildren; one brother Henry Neal of Mt. Pleasant; and one sister, Mrs. Jane Hoskins of Fairfield. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Hoskins Funeral Home. Dr. M. A. Gable will be in charge of the services. Interment will be made at the Evergreen cemetery.
