Yetter died at the home of his son, William, near St. Edward on Sunday morning, January 2, 1916, of old age. He was born in Ohio, July 6, 1836, thus being aged 79 years, 5 months and 28 days. On October 20, 1857, he was married to Miss Sarah E. Davidson, and twelve children were born to the union, four sons and two daughters still living. He came to the Skeedee some 23 years ago and owned the farm where the Skeedee Methodist Church now stands. He was a member of the Methodist church, and Rev. R. Frank Shacklock, pastor of the St. Edward Methodist Church, had charge of the funeral services, Tuesday afternoon, January 4, 1916, and the body was laid beside that of his wife in the Evergreen cemetery. Thus ended a life that had endeared itself by the earnest interest in others welfare.
