He was a son of the late George W. and Sarah Yetter. He was united in marriage on July 20th, 1890 to Carrie Louise Karr at Skidmore, Missouri. One child was born to this union. He was a son of the late George W. and Sarah Yetter. He was united in marriage on July 20th, 1890 to Carrie Louise Karr at Skidmore, Missouri. One child was born to this union. He farmed near Skidmore for four years and operated a restaurant for a short time. His wife preceded him in death in 1896. He then came to the St. Edward vicinity in 1898 and farmed until 1938, when he retired and moved into St. Edward, at which time he united with the Prebyterian Church. He was active in the Masonic Lodge and recently received the Jordan Medal for being the oldest member in the local order. He passed away on August 30, 1952 at the age of 84 years, 7 months and 30 days. He is survived by one daughter, Ethel (Mrs. Ivan Stephens) of St. Edward; one sister, Mrs. Mamie Swim of Santa Ana, Calif.; 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Yetter were held at the Miller Funeral Home Monday morning at nine o'clock. Rev. Chas. Rabenberg, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, conducted the service. Mrs. Hazel Condreay and Mrs. Merrell Willard sang "Rock of Ages" and "God Be With You Till We Meet Again." They were accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Fay Smith. Pall bearers were members of the Masonic Lodge, Ed and Leo Hall, Forrest Long, Glenn Williams, M.H. Adams and Kenneth Weed. Burial was made at Skidmore, Missouri.
