Description	:	The Mathews Journal Thurs, April 22, 1926 p.1, c.7 Mr. George William Minter, died suddenly at his home on Gwynn's Island, Saturday, April 17th, in the 68th year of his age. Funeral services were conducted at the Gwynn's Island Baptist Church on Thursday, April 22, at 2:30 p.m. and the body laid to rest in the Island cemetery. Mr. Minter was a member of the Gwynn's Island Baptist Church and a member of the I.O.O.F., and of the Order of Red Men, both of which held ritualistic ceremonies at the grave.
