GEORGIA MOORE DIED LAST SUNDAY Succumbed After Brief Illness Of Pneumonia FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD TUESDAY Mrs. Georgia Moore, widow of the late Captain E. E. Moore, died at her home on Cove street Sunday after a short illness. Death was caused by pneumonia. She was 68 years of age. Mrs. Moore was the daughter of the late David Sterling and Rachel Lawson Sterling, members of one of Somerset County's oldest, and best known families. Her husband preceded her in death about two years ago. The death of Mrs. Moore came as a great shock to her many friends throughout this community as she had been sick only about two weeks. She was held in the highest esteem by all who knew her and she will be sadly missed in the community. Her entire life was spent here and her home in which she died stood on the adjoining lot to the one in which she was born. She was a staunch member of Immanuel M. E. Church and was very regular in her attendance at the services. She was always interested and active in the affairs of her church and the community. Mrs. Moore is survived by one daughter, Miss Rachel Moore, of this city. One sister, Mrs. Thomas Whittington, Sr., also survives. Funeral services were held from the home on Cove street on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. J. R. Bicking, pastor of Immanuel M. E. Church. Pall bearers were Fred Gerald, Alton Pruitt, John Whittington, David Whittington, and cemetery.
