Description	:	OBITUARY: Taken from the Tecumseh Chieftain. Gerald Paul Oehm, 61, of Tecumseh, passed away July 3, 2013 at Belle Terrace in Tecumseh, NE. He was born to Rudolph and Evelyn (Conradt) Oehm. at Pawnee City, NE. He went to school in Steinauer and graduated from Table Rock-Steinauer High School. After high school, Gerald worked for Chuck Conradt, Dennis Schuster and various other farmers. His father, Rudolph, passed away June 28, 1971 and Gerald lived with his mother in Steinauer, Ne. until moving to Ridgeview Towers in Tecumseh in 2009 and later to the Tecumseh Manor, His mother, Evelyn, passed away Oct. 2, 2012. Gerald enjoyed fishing, hunting, puzzles, Television and most of all, spending time with friends. He also enjoyed teasing all of the nieces and nephews. Gerald was recently awarded the Tecumseh Community Spirit Award. He is survived by his sisters, Velma McHenry and husband Jim of Paragould, AR. and Marie McHenry and husband Owen of Steinauer, brother, Dale Oehm and wife Janice of Humboldt, several aunts, uncles and cousins. 13 nieces and nephews, 19 great-nieces and nephews, 3 great-great nieces and nephews. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, brother Allen and sister-n-law Marge Oehm. Mass of Christian Burial was held July 8, 2013 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Steinauer, NE. with Father Scott Courtney officiating. Delores Puhalla organist. Pallbearers were Byford Schmit, Mike Puhalla, Steve Conradt, Theron Guenther, Patrick Kalin and Dennis Schuster. Private family burial will be in the St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, rural Steinauer, NE.
