Description	:	Gilbert Nicholas Albro was born to Stephen B. Albro and Ida Elizabeth Dennis Albro on December 4, 1912, at the family farm home southeast of Fairmont. He died January 25, 1979, at the Fairview Manor at Fairmont at the age of 66 years, 1 month and 21 days. Gilbert was a life-long Fairmont resident until almost four years ago, when he and his wife moved to York. He was employed by the Burlington Railroad for a number of years until he retired. Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents, and four brothers, Hubert, Dennis, Leonard and Lewis; one sister, Geniza Ackerman and a step-son, Robert Woods. He is survived by his wife, Margaret, his children, Mrs. Dwayne (Doris) Judy of Fairmont, William Gilbert Jr. and Rx all of Lincoln; Mrs. Kenneth (Vera) Renquist of York; five sisters, Mrs. Harley (Merle) Mitchell of Lincoln, Mrs. Hurbert (Gertrude) McClellan, Mrs. Federal (Charlotte) Bridgman, Mrs. Margaret Gibson, all of Fairmont, Dorothy Albro of Bremerton, Wash.; three brothers, France and Robert Albro of Bremerton, Wash, and Walter Albro of Forest Hill Md.; eight grandchildren, Bernard and Patti Judy of Fairmont, Theresa, William, Charity and Shareen Albro of Lincoln, Jodi and Jeremy Renquist of York, many nieces, nephews and friends. Services were held in the Fairmont Community Church on January 29, 1979, with Rev. Jay Vetter officiating. Organist was Mrs. Marvin Swartz. vocalists were Mr. and Mrs. Roland Hall. Pallbearers were Del Galusha, John Gibson, Ted F. Hedden, George W. Thompson, Richard Smith, Duaine Roper. Interment was in the Fairmont Public Cemetery.
