She was a loyal and dedicated member of the First Brethren Church. She was born September 30, 1920, daughter of the late Carrie Jenkins Slough and Howard Brown Slough. She is survived by her husband, Norman Ray Ward.; daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Eugene Coleman; two sons, Wayne and Michael Wilmeth, Buena Vista; five grandchildren, Deborah Jones, Lynchburg; Donna Hewitt, Swoope, Greg Coleman, Lexington, Rochelle Rowe, Buena Vista, Christie Wilmeth, Buena... She is survived by her husband, Norman Ray Ward.; daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Eugene Coleman; two sons, Wayne and Michael Wilmeth, Buena Vista; five grandchildren, Deborah Jones, Lynchburg; Donna Hewitt, Swoope, Greg Coleman, Lexington, Rochelle Rowe, Buena Vista, Christie Wilmeth, Buena Vista; three sisters, Ruby Hostetter, Ethel Pugh and Catherine Lewis, all of Buena Vista; a brother, Robert Slough, Buena Vista; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Brethren Church of Buena Vista with the Rev. Lester Kennedy, Dr. Paul Fink and the and the Rev. Howard Slough officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Service, Buena Vista.
