Born in Grayson County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Emory and Laura Hall Copeland. Her husband was the late Walter Lee Burchett. She is survived by a daughter, Shirley A. Fleming of Aberdeen; three sisters, Hazel L. Combs of Darlington, Rose Dulaney of Jonesboro, Tenn., and Myrtle V. Vaught of Perryville. Services were held Tuesday at the Howard K. McComas III Funeral Home. The Rev. Diane E. Summerhill presided. Burial was in Bel Air Memorial Gardens. The pallbearers were Luther Vaught, Kenneth Peak, Kenny Grafton, Richard Copeland, Jack Bailey and Streett Mahan. Contributions may be made to Hopewell United Methodist Church, 3610 Level Village Rd., Havre de Grace, Md. 21078. Published in The Aegis; Wed., Dec. 1, 1993.
