Description	:	Obituary from Nelson Gazette May 29, 1986: Glen V. Skinner, son of Clarence W. and Jessie (Springer) Skinner, was born July 27, 1904, on a farm three miles east of Edgar. He passed away Wednesday, May 21, 1986, at the Good Samaritan Center in Hastings,Nebraska, at the age of 81 years, 9 months and 21 days. Glen, as a young boy, grew up near the Edgar community. He graduated from Edgar High School. After graduation, Glen began doing what he loved to do best, farming in and around the Fairfield and Edgar areas. He passed away Wednesday, May 21, 1986, at the Good Samaritan Center in Hastings,Nebraska, at the age of 81 years, 9 months and 21 days. Glen, as a young boy, grew up near the Edgar community. He graduated from Edgar High School. After graduation, Glen began doing what he loved to do best, farming in and around the Fairfield and Edgar areas. He made farming his life's work and enjoyed it very much up until his retirement in 1980. May 30, 1930, Glen was united in marriage to Lola Adamson at Hastings, Nebraska. To this union was born one son, Duane. He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Gary Skinner. Left to cherish his memory are: his wife, Lola of Edgar; a son, Duane of Edgar; two sisters, Gladys Mills of Edgar and Thelma Lee of York; three grandchildren, Ed Skinner and Gaila Claycamp, both of Edgar and Kim Skinner of Hastings; six great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and his many friends. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 24, 1986, at 10 a.m. from the Urbauer-Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Edgar with the Rev. Richard Markland officiating. Interment was in the Edgar Cemetery.
