MARKER Grace Irene, daughter of J. W. and Mary Ellen Keen, was born Sept. 25, 1891, north of Norwood, Iowa, and departed this life Nov. 25, 1935, at her home northeast of Norwood after a short illness with pneumonia, at the age of 44 years and 2 months. On Jan. 26, 1910, she was united in marriage to C. B. Marker, and to this union six children were born, Don, Artis and Genevieve, at home, and Ralph, of near Norwood, Kenneth A., who died in infancy and Herbert Doyle, who died at the age of 5 years. During her sojourn upon this earth her life was an example of generosity. She was a good neighbor, always ready to help in every good cause, and was devoted to her companion, children and home. She leaves to mourn their loss her husband and the four children, also four brothers, Walter Keen, of St. Joseph, Mo., Archie Keen, of Lamoni, Ia., Ernest Keen, of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Cecil Keen, of Condo, N. D., and two sisters, Mrs. Viva Kniveton, of Fresno, Calif. and Maude Keen, of Norwood, and one uncle, Ed Keen, of Medora. The last rites were held at the United Brethren church at Norwood on Wednesday, Nov. 27, the pastor, Rev. W. H. Watts, officiating. The remains were laid to rest beside those of her two sons in the Fletcher cemetery.
