Son of John Wesley Marker and Julia Melvina Parker OBITUARY THE CHARITON HERALD-PATRIOT Chariton, Iowa Thursday, November 20, 1952 CLINTON B. MARKER Clinton B. Marker, son of John Wesley and Julia Marker, was born in Ottercreek township, Lucas county, Iowa, May 16, 1886 and passed away at his home northeast of Norwood Nov. 15, 1952, at the age of 66 years, five months and 29 days. He was married to Grace Keen in 1910 and six children came to bless this union. Herbert Doyle passed away at the age of five years and Kenneth died in infancy. The children left to mourn their father's death are Donald, Ralph, Ardis Arnold and Helen Genevieve Litton. The mother of this family passed away in Nov. 25, 1935 and in April, 1940, Clint was married to Mrs. Elpha Kinney. Clint was a kind and loving father and neighbor, always ready to help those who needed him. He will be greatly missed by all but God's will must be done. Those left to mourn his departure are his widow, the two sons, Donald and Ralph, two daughters, Ardis and Helen, five grandchildren, two step-daughters, Wilma Van Wegen of California, Dorothy Duckey and one step-son, Newell Kinney of Lohrville. Three brothers, Jesse, Milt and Riley and two sisters, Olive Chandler and Dolly Pottorff also survive. His parents, three sisters and one brother have preceded him in death. Funeral services were held at Norwood U. B. church Monday, Nov. 17, at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Paxton. Music was furnished by Darrel Parkins, Homer Puderbaugh and Beatrice Shupe, pianist. Pallbearers were Olin Curtin, Albert Chandler, Ray Chandler, Fletcher Killen, James Eggleston and George Dachenbach.
