Description	:	Gudrun was born June 9, 1902, in Munster Township, rural New Rockford, N.D., the daughter of Jens O. and Gunhild (Egge) Myhre. She was raised in Munster Township and attended grade school there. Gudrun graduated from New Rockford High School in 1921. She then attended Valley City State University and later taught school fir six years in rural schools in Eddy County. Gudrun was united in marriage to Alvin O. Hendrickson on April 6, 1929, at her home in rural New Rockford. They moved to Epping, N.D. where they farmed for about one year before moving to a farm located west... Read More	Gudrun was born June 9, 1902, in Munster Township, rural New Rockford, N.D., the daughter of Jens O. and Gunhild (Egge) Myhre. She was raised in Munster Township and attended grade school there. Gudrun graduated from New Rockford High School in 1921. She then attended Valley City State University and later taught school fir six years in rural schools in Eddy County. Gudrun was united in marriage to Alvin O. Hendrickson on April 6, 1929, at her home in rural New Rockford. They moved to Epping, N.D. where they farmed for about one year before moving to a farm located west of Sheyenne, N.D. In 1964 they moved into Sheyenne. March of 1987 the Hendricksons moved to New Rockford, N.D. Alvin died August 24, 1987. In June of 1996, Gudrun moved into the Heritage House at New Rockford. Gudrun was baptized and confirmed at Grandfield Lutheran Church and had been a lifelong member. She was a devoted wife and mother, and was active in many things. She was a member and officer of Grandfield LCW, an active member of Sheyenne Senior Citizen, Daughters of the Pioneers, Sheyenne P.T.A., District #12 Democratic Women and the Grandfield Township Homemakers. She enjoyed music, doing crafts and crocheting. Her family always came first. Gudrun loved to have the grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren come and visit. Her eyesight was failing but she always recognized the voices of family and friends. Gudrun will be missed very much by everyone she touched and will always be remembered as a very special lady. Gudrun Henrickson died Thursday, January 28, 1999 at Carrington Health Center, Carrington, N.D., at the age of 95 years. Her church program obituary, transcribed by David Pierce.
