Hannah Erika Oake was born of parents, Lars and Agnes Oake, August 1, 1886 in Union county, S.D. She was baptized in infancy and later was confirmed by Rev. Roseland in the Immanuel Lutheran church at Elk Point, S.D., of which she remained a member. Even though frail of body and in very poor health, she was always eager to help and ready to give, at times to the point of self-sacrifice. The Lord hath given and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord. She leaves to mourn her passing one sister, Mrs. Peter 0. Erickson; two brothers, Gust, and Oscar, all of Elk Point and vicinity; six nieces and three nephews, and other relatives and a host of friends. The funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Immanuel Lutheran church at Elk Point, with Rev. E.G. Svenson, of Akron, Iowa, officiating.
