Description	:	Hannah White was the daughter of Robert White and Margaret Johnston. Hanna J White, first married Rev James Kerr on 5 Apr 1832, in Rockbridge Co., VA. Widowed, she married second to widower Robert Guy (no children). Wife of James Kerr (no given name listed), died 1 Apr, 1874. Based on "Aged 65 Years" on marker, she was born in ABOUT 1808-1809. See transcription below. On the 1850 Dist. 51, Rockbridge Co., VA census, I found HANNAH Kerr, 42; Margaret A Kerr, 18 and Martha W Kerr, 13, all VA born. On 12 Jul 1854, HANNAH W Kerr, 48, born in Lexington, the widow of James Kerr and daughter of Robert White, marries widower Robert Guy, 62, born 1792 in Ireland, the son of Robert Guy, in Rockbridge Co., VA. Rev. Wm S White officiated. On the 1860 Burkes Mill, Augusta Co., VA census, I found farmer Robert Guy, 68; HANNA W Guy, 51; overseer Jos Long Guy, 20 and student J Emmett Guy, 23, all VA born, except for Guy in Ireland. On 15 Jan 1863, Robert Guy dies and is buried at Augusta Stone Church with his first wife Gilly. On the 1870 Natural Bridge, Rockbridge Co., VA census, I found merchant Alfred Gold, 36; Rebecca (Culton) Gold, 29; Susan J Gold, 3; James M Gold, 1; HANNAH WHITE, 62; Eliza M Gold, 59; Millie Craig, 25 and Joseph Craig, 60, all VA born. (Mrs. Rebecca Culton Gold's mother was Susan Johnston.) On 14 Apr 1874, HANNAH dies and her gravestone uses her first husband's names, "wife of James Kerr." On 19 Oct 1876, Mattie W Kerr, 38, born in Wytheville, VA, daughter of Jas and HANNAH W KERR, married John E Toole, the son of Wm and E Toole, aged 50, born in Maryville, TN in Lexington, VA.
