Description	:	Hannah Merie (Gaisford) Pickard was born September 11, 1847, at Hilperton, Wiltshire, England; departed this life January 25, 1918, at the age 70 years, 4 months, and 14 days. In 1855, she immigrated with her parents to America and settled in Pascoag, Rhode Island. In 1869, she moved with her parents to Minonk, Illinois. On November 18, 1870, she was united in marriage to Mr. George Pickard. They made their home at Minonk until February 1885, when they moved to Diller, Jefferson County, Nebraska, where she has since resided. Read More	Hannah Merie (Gaisford) Pickard was born September 11, 1847, at Hilperton, Wiltshire, England; departed this life January 25, 1918, at the age 70 years, 4 months, and 14 days. They made their home at Minonk until February 1885, when they moved to Diller, Jefferson County, Nebraska, where she has since resided. To this union were born two children: James Alfred Pickard of Norfolk, Nebraska, and Mrs. Mattie Clark of Diller, Nebraska. She is survived by her husband; children and four grandchildren; also four brothers: Charley Gaisford of Ellis, Nebraska; William Gaisford of Minonk, Illinois; Samuel Gaisford of Ellis, Nebraska; and Jene H. Gaisford of Council Bluffs, Iowa. At the age of 11 years, she united with the M. E. church and from this time on she lived a concentrated Christian life. Out of town relatives who attended the funeral were: James Alfred Pickard and family of Norfolk, Nebraska; Jene H. Gaisford of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Mrs. Charles Gaisford, Mrs. Henry Fiedler, Miss Mary Gaisford, Fred and Annie Fiedler, William and Samuel Gaisford, and Clarence Mann all of Ellis; Mr. and Mrs. Harlen Weaver of Harbine, Nebraska; Mrs. Ed Bartlett, Miss Emma Lamb, and Mr. amd Mrs. Will Carpenter all of Beatrice, Nebraska. Burial services were held from the Methodist church Sunday afternoon, Rev. H. W. Wagner officiating. Interment was made in Prairie Home Cemetery. Diller Record, February 1, 1918
