Description	:	Hannah was the eighth child of Arend Jan and Berendina Hendrika "Diena" (nee Heusinkveld) Vanderbeek. At age 4 she moved to the Pella Community, rural Adams County NE with her parents and siblings. She had health problems that weren't noticeable; however, she was careful to take her medications and live a good lifestyle. Her siblings were Dellie "Della", Edward, Garret. Johanna (who died at age 1), John, Ella, Gertje, Minnie, William Arthur, Henry John, Benjamin Franklin "Frank", and Jacoba "Coba". She had health problems that weren't noticeable; however, she was careful to take her medications and live a good lifestyle. Her siblings were Dellie "Della", Edward, Garret. Johanna (who died at age 1), John, Ella, Gertje, Minnie, William Arthur, Henry John, Benjamin Franklin "Frank", and Jacoba "Coba". She lived on the Vanderbeek farm from 1887 to 1935 doing most of the housework and preparing meals for the family. She was a member of the Pella Reformed Church where she taught a girls' Sunday School Class, hosted parties for the class, directed the Sunday School Christmas program and attended church women's meetings. She loved the Lord and made Him first in her life. Her siblings Edward, William Arthur, Henry, Frank and Jacoba also lived on the family farm until they married - all but Edward, who did not marry. In 1935 Hannah and brother, Edward, moved to Panama where they hosted the annual family Thanksgiving Day get together. After Ed died, she moved in with sister, Jacoba, and her husband, Roy DeRoe. Hannah passed away at the age of 69.
