Ottumwa Courier February 16, 1946 Rat poison kills baby in Ottumwa Eighteen-month old Harley Edward Hoover, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest M. Hoover of 2224 Roemer St., died at 1:20 AM today at the St. Joseph's Hospital after drinking poison Friday afternoon. Besides his parents he is survived by five sisters, Mrs. Della Reese Lambert, Douds Dorothy Plicher, and Betty, Marjorie and Shirley Hoover, all at home: a brother Ernest Hoover, Junior, at home; two grandfathers. John Huddleston and Thomas E. Hoover both of Ottumwa, and a great grandmother Mrs. Louise Huddleston, Waterloo. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Monday at the Johnson funeral Chapel conducted by the Rev. A.D. McClure burial will be in Ottumwa Cemetery. The casket will be taken to the residence at 10 AM Sunday and will be returned to the Chapel Monday morning
