Mills County Tribune, November 10, 1904 DEATH OF HARMON EVANS The sad news reached here the first of the week of the death of Harmon Evans at Wakefield, Nebraska, Sunday, November 6. The remains were brought here Monday evening and the funeral conducted by Rev. R. E. Shaw of Glenwood was held in the Methodist Church, Tuesday afternoon, services at the grave by local Masonic order. Funeral was largely attended. Harmon Evans was born October 15, 1837, at Alma, Illinois and died November 6, 1904 at Wakefield, Nebraska. He lived a number of years near Monmouth, Illinois and came to Mills County in 1873 where he lived until a few years ago when he went to live with his son, W. W. Evans at Wakefield, Nebraska. Two sons and two daughters survived him. Mr. Evans had a host of friends here who mourn his loss and extend sympathy to the sorrowing family.
