Description	:	Harold Ben Jacobson was born on 29 August 1911 in Britt, Iowa to the couple, Christian Jacobson (1883-1953) and Emma (nee Anderson) Jacobson (1882-1941). He attended Britt Public Schools and graduated on 23 May 1929. After graduation, Harold entered Britt Junior College and 2 years later, attended University of Iowa in Iowa City IA. He graduated with a bachelor's in business on 4 June 1934, whereupon he returned to Britt and worked with his father and brother at the family business, running a gas station and local distribution station. Read More	Harold Ben Jacobson was born on 29 August 1911 in Britt, Iowa to the couple, Christian Jacobson (1883-1953) and Emma (nee Anderson) Jacobson (1882-1941). He attended Britt Public Schools and graduated on 23 May 1929. After graduation, Harold entered Britt Junior College and 2 years later, attended University of Iowa in Iowa City IA. Harold entered the Army in 18 June 1943. He served in the European Theater of Operations, as a member of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) posted in Whitehall, London, England. He was one of only a few who had access to the names of the single, double and triple agents. (Upon arrival in Whitehall they put him in a room and gave him no assignments for 6 weeks. Later he found out that they were doing his background check.) He entered Paris 2 days before it was declared a non war zone. He was released from active duty in October 1945. Harold died 15 February 1993 in the Hancock County Memorial Hospital after a series of strokes.
