Ledger Wednesday Feb. 17, 1960 Pg. 8 Col. 4 Minster Rites Will Be Friday Mrs. Hattie Minster, life-time resident of the Fairfield community, passed away at 3:45 a.m. today at the Good Samaritan Nursing home in Ottumwa where she had been a patient the past four months. She had been in failing health the past year and in serious condition the past week. Last rites will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner funeral home with the Rev. Donald Eagle in charge. Burial will be in the Antioch cemetery north-east of Fairfield. Mrs. Hatte Minster, 81, was born March 19, 1878, at Perlee the daughter of Ogden and Arminda Coop Lambert. She was united in marriage to Howard D. Minster on May 10, 1899, at Pleasant Plain. He died Sept. 13, 1942. She was a member of the First Christian church and the Women's Relief Corps. Mrs. Minster is survived by one son, Arthur Minster, Fairfield; one daughter, Mrs. Edra Webb, Knoxville; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sis Pleasant Plain (sic. this last sentence in the paragraph was incomplete; perhaps mentioning a sister of Pleasant Plain, Jefferson county, Iowa). She was preceded in death by her husband; one son; two daughters, four brothers and a sister.
