Glenn Emmert of the Baptist Church acted as officiant for the service. Interment was in the Malvern Cemetery. Pall bearers were Howard Lookabill, Charles Blackburn, Carl Wilson, Raymond Waller, F. F. The following biography was read: Harry Arthur Hoover, son of Andrew Crawford and Mary Katherine Rummer, was born in Columbus, Ohio, April 20, 1868. He departed from this life at the Edmundson Hospital on June 27, at the age of 89 years, 2 months, and 7 days. He was third in a family of five children, all proceding him in death except one sister, Mrs. Reuben Rettina of Marion, Ohio. He was united in marriage to Daisy Laura Blackburn in August 5, 1901, Glenwood, Iowa. To this union were born five children, all surviving. Mr. and Mrs. Hoover spent most of their married life in the Malvern vicinity. Mr. Hoover was a painter and contractor by trade, and spent over 60 years at his chosen He is survived by his wife, Daisy, five children, Vaughn and Cecil of Malvern, Mildred of Shenandoah, Harry of Emerson, and Gene of Balavia, Illinois; 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, four daughters-in-law, one son-in-law, nephews, nieces, and a host of friends. Relatives attending from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hoover, Jr., and Sam, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Hoover, Mr. and Mrs. Herb Hoover of Emerson, Mr. and Mrs. Alva Barrett and Bette of Shenandoah, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Hoover, Charles and Nancy of Batavia, Illinois, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Blackburn and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Blackburn of Osceola.
