Harry's mother Juerena (Groenwold) Bleeker proceded him in death on February 7, 1929 Funeral services were held at the English Lutheran Church in Spencer conducted by Rev. O. C. Oelser. Burial place unknown obit was from the Miford mail dated Thursday Jan. 27, 1944, Milford Iowa 2nd obit for Harry Bleeker Harry Bleeker resident of Spencer for the last 12 years passed away in Spencer Hospital on Sunday eveing Jan. 23, at 7 O'clock. His death was caused by diabetes from which he suffered for 18 years, about 5 years ago he began to gradually lose his eye sight until he became totally blind. He reached the age of 45 years 4 months and 8 days and leave to morun his early demise his wife the former Minnie Zishka, three children, Darrell, Lois and Vergene, now Mrs Edward Donovan whose husband Sgt. Dovoan is stationed in England, his father E.E. Bleeker of Fostia, two brothers Ed and Evert Bleeker, Five sisters, Mrs Edward Boyenga od Ackley , Mrs. George Boyenga of Grundy Center, Iowa, Mrs Martin Roskens, Mrs. Henry Winterboer and Mrs. Louie Boyenga of Everly, besides many other relatives and acquaitance The decased was born in Dickinson Co. on Sept. 15, 1898 and was confirmed into the English Lutheran Church of Spencer on April 13, 1919 to which church he adhered until his death. On Nov. 27, 1919 he was untied in marriage with Miss Minnie Zishka and the couple made their home on a farm northwest of Spencer until moving to town. Funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon at the church with the pastor Rev. O.C. Geisler officiating with burial in the North Lawn cemetery near Spencer, Iowa. 2nd obit for the Miford Mail, Milford Iowa, dated Feb. 3, 1944
