Description	:	FUNERAL SERVICES HELD MARCH 3RD FOR E.E. BLEEKER Funeral services were held on Wednesday March 3, for E.E. Bleeker at 1:30 at the Frist Reformed Church northest of Everly with the Rev. K.R. Dykstra officiating. Pallbeares include Etie Roskens, Everett Roskens, Harold Roskens, Orville Bleeker, Donald Black, and Elwin Follon. Special music was funrished by a mixed quartet. Mr Bleeker was a charter member of the First Reformed Church and was a active member in many community affairs. E. E. Bleeker was born Dec. 12, 1864 in Germany . At the age of four he with his parents Everet and Antje (Hiekens) Bleeker and settled near Pekin Ill. In 1874 the family moved to Grundy County. In June 1885 he was united in marriage to Rena Groenewold. To this union were born 4 sons and five daughters. In 1888 the family moved to a farm in Dickinson County, Iowa where they resided until 1916. In that year they moved to Fostia, Ia where he lived until two yeas ago when he was taken to Delaney Nursing Home in Spencer, Ia. Mr. Bleeker passed away suddenly March 1, 1948 at the Delaney nursing home, at the age of 83 years, two months, and 17 days. He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Martin Roskens and Mrs Henry Winterboer of Everly, Mrs. Louie boyenga and Mrs Ed Boyenga of Ackley, and Mrs George Boyenga of Grundy Center, Ia. ; two sons Ed and Everett of Spencer; two brothers and four sisters of Grundy Center, 24 grandchildren, and a host of friends in several communties. He was preceded in death by his wife who passed away in 1929; one son in infancy; one son Harry who died in 1944 and three grandchildren. My Great Uncle From the Milford Mail (Milford, Iowa) dated March 11, 1948 (Please note that he went by E. E. Bleeker but, i think his name was Evered E. Bleeker. )
