Bleeker a resident of southern Dickinson County for many years passed away early Thursday morning, February 7, 1929 at the age of 62 years and 11 days. Mrs Bleeker suffered much during the past two years, having had four strokes of paralysis. The first stroke came February 10, 192, and followed by two other strokes during the year. Mrs Bleeker suffered much during the past two years, having had four strokes of paralysis. The first stroke came February 10, 192, and followed by two other strokes during the year. The final stroke came Tuesday morning February 5, from which she did not rally. Funeral services were held last Saturday afternoon at two o'clock at the Reformed Church near Fostoria with the Rev. E. Kampman officiating.He took his sermon from the 14th chapter of Revelation, the 13th, verse. The three sons Ed, Everett and Harry Bleeker and three son - in- laws ., Martin Roekens, Louis Boyenga,and Henry Winterboer, acted as pallbearers. Music was furnished by Misses Hilda Krominga, Alice Johnson, Martha Ringering, and Grace and Patty Kuper. Burial was made at the Reformed Church Cemetery. Juerena Groenewold was born in Larrlt, Germany, Jan. 27, 1867. She was but eleven weeks old when her parents, Mr & Mrs Eove Gronewold came to this country, locating at Peoria Ill. In 1872 the family moved to Grundy County, Iowa. She was untied in marriage to E.E. Bleeker, June 18, 1885. This union was blessed with nine children , four sons, and five daughters. One son died in infancy. In 1888 the family moved and located near Everly, February 14, on a farm in section 36 Wesport Township, Dickson County , where the lived untill the spring of 1916. In that year Mr. and Mrs. Bleeker retired from farming and moved to Fostoria which had since been their last home.Mrs Bleeker is survived by her husband, E. E. Bleeker and eight children, Anna Mrs Martian Roskens, Hattie, Mrs Louie Boyenga, Dene Mrs. Henry Winterboer, Gertie, Mrs George Boyenga of Grundy Center, Iowa, Tena, Mrs Ed Boyenga of Faulkner, Iowa, Ed Bleeker, Everett H. Bleeker, and Harry Bleeker of this neigborhood, her aged father-in-law, Everett Bleeker of Steamboat Rock, Iowa and twenty three grandchildren. Mrs Bleeker was a charter member of the Frist Reformed Church in Waierford Township, with which she untied in January 1893. She was also a charter and faithful member of the Ladies Aid Society. Mrs Bleeker was a kind and faithful wife and mother, also a good neighbor which was proven by the large assembladge of friends in attendance at the funeral services although many of the roads were impassable. Those attending the funeral form a distance were Everett Bleeker, John and E. H. Bleeker of Steamboat Rock, Mr and Mrs. P.E. Muhring and Mrs Abe Thoren of Grundy Center, and Gueso Rindels of Holland, Iowa Friends in the community join in in extendng their sympathy to the relatives in their sorrow.
