He was born May 15, 1926 in Seneca, KS to Henry and Gertrude (Berdau) Droge. Harry married Norma Spellmeier on June 25, 1950 in Marysville, KS. He was a member of the Army Reserves and a mechanic for Todd Tractor in Seneca, KS. He later worked for the U.S. Corp of Engineers before becoming a construction inspector for flood control with the U.S. Soil Conservation Service. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Norma... Read More	Harry Carl Droge, 89, of Council Grove, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at Diversicare of Council Grove. He was born May 15, 1926 in Seneca, KS to Henry and Gertrude (Berdau) Droge. Harry married Norma Spellmeier on June 25, 1950 in Marysville, KS. He was a member of the Army Reserves and a mechanic for Todd Tractor in Seneca, KS. He later worked for the U.S. Corp of Engineers before becoming a construction inspector for flood control with the U.S. Soil Conservation Service. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Norma and nine siblings. Harry is survived by his sons: James Droge and wife Diane of Broken Arrow, OK; David Droge and wife Joyce of Princeton, KS and Daniel Droge and wife Kim of Manhattan, KS; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and younger brother John Droge. At his request, Harry was cremated. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday April 17, 2016 at Pleasant Ridge Christian Church (8 miles north of Council Grove on Hwy 177) with Pastor Jim Slack officiating. Refreshments will be served after the service. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date. Zeiner Funeral Home, Council Grove, KS is in charge of arrangements.
